Event Fire Marshal





Our Event Fire Marshal courses are designed for Event Stewards and Security Staff that wish to provide a level of fire cover for public events such as firework and bonfire events and festivals where fire cover is required. Each candidate will learn the skills required to be an Fire Marshal at public events.

Aim

  • To introduce delegates to the relevant fire precautions legislation including and overview of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
  • To familiarise delegates with the Event Fire Marshal duties
  • To assist delegates in identifying potential fire hazards during all stages of a public event
  • To provide delegates with the required knowledge and tools to enable them to successfully carry out their roles
  • To look at examples of event safety plans and fire risk assessments

Objectives

At the end of this course delegates will be able to:

  • List the relevant legislation that applies to fire safety precautions at public events
  • State the duties of an Event Fire Marshal
  • Carry out daily checks and inspections
  • State the different classes of fire
  • Recognise and remedy potential fire safety hazards and be aware of associated threats
